Triple Threat: Juniors Isabella Lebarr, Kaliyah Robinson, and Sahar Husain celebrate Meme Day in style. Robinson credited memes as an integral part of her generation, as she and her friends dressed up as Kermit The Frog, Salt Bae, and the infamous squinting woman. “It’s an iconic day, you know,” Robinson said. “I feel like we always reference memes so we just kinda had to.”
During the week of March 18th to March 22nd, Francis Lewis High School promoted school spirit by encouraging students to participate in a different theme every day. The week started off with ‘Meme Day’ on Monday, ‘Twin Day’ on Tuesday, ‘School Spirit Day’ on Wednesday, ‘Denim Day’ on Thursday, and ‘Hawaiian Day’ on Friday. Francis Lewis News went around the school throughout the week, interviewing students and staff about their participation in this spirited week.
