Walking into an abandoned shrine where there have been multiple deaths seems creepy right? Lee Hong Jo has to investigate the surroundings because she works as a civil servant at city hall, and has to investigate them. Little does she know this whole project will forever change her life.
After Hong Jo successfully tore down the shrine that had many citizens complain, she meets the owner of the land who finds a box underground that is for her. When she opens it she finds spells written down, and has no idea why the box was written to her. The owner of the land shrine she tore down, Jang Shin Yu, was instantly intrigued by the spells because he has a secret that nobody knows-he is cursed with a curse that is slowly killing him called “The Red Hand ” is slowly affecting his body. He thinks that the spells written to Hong Jo can help him get rid of the curse.
Hong Jo originally does not want to help him since he fought her on trying to get rid of the shrine, which is on his land and she does not believe in the spells. So she puts it to a test and puts a love spell on the person she likes at work, whose name is Kwon Jae-Kyung but he and Shin Yu switch seats and he drinks it instead without knowing. Hong Jo has already left the room so she does not know that Shin Yu accidentally drank it instead. When a few days go past her crush Kwon Jae-Kyung starts to show signs of interest in her, which she takes that as him having feelings for her, meanwhile Shin Yu who starts acting very weird to her. Hong Jo pulls up the security cameras with him and she realizes that he drank the love potion instead by accident, and when she tells him he is furious and demands her to find a cure.
This back and forth occurs for most of the series until Hong Jo and Shin Yu realize that they are falling in love for real, all while trying to find the cure to his curse that is affecting his life incredibly. When they have flashbacks from their past lives they realize the shocking fate of what happened back then that is now affecting Shin Yu with this curse. After painful scenes to watch and shocking news it leads the viewer on edge wondering if it will be all solved, and when it is solved thinking you could get a breath of fresh air more bad news comes.
Hong Jo has had a stalker throughout the whole series but doesn’t know the severity of it till the end which leaves the viewer feeling shocked and saddened. Watch it end on a good note or will it end on a bad note?
To find out you should definitely watch this series. It was so amazing to watch and every episode had you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. It was a perfect mixture of romance and fantasy, and the ending won’t disappoint you!
