Winter Wonderland is an annual tradition for Francis Lewis High School seniors, and this year, it was not held outside. Students were not sitting on permafrost patches of dirt and bundles of grass or weed. Rather, the class of 2025 was sitting amongst white balloons and the gym floor.
Before the movie started, there was an exciting raffle for FLHS merchandise and other exciting goodies. With Ice Age projected on the two screens, students enjoyed their hot coco indoors. Food assortments included cheese pizza with garlic knots and packets of popcorn. In the back, there was a couch with props for fun photoshoots and a quiet space for group conversations.
Students were excited to witness this new location for Winter Wonderland, as most were impressed by decorations and ability to wear comfortable clothing — little disappointment and so much fun.
Seniors were required to have completed a college application and financial aid account, or note post-graduation plans in order to RSVP.
