Francis Lewis Celebrates National Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated across the United States every year from September 15th to October 15th. During this month, Hispanic and LatinX Americans are recognized for their achievements, contributions, and cultural influence on the United States. In order to recognize the contributions Hispanic and Latinx people have made to this nation, Francis Lewis decorated the front entrance to the school building with posters highlighting and recognizing famous Hispanic and Latinx people. To further honor National Hispanic Heritage month, FLHS News asked students and teachers at Francis Lewis to talk about a Hispanic/Latinx figure that has made an impact on their lives.
